The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was decent. The location is excellent across the street from the ocean and a short walk from the centre of town.

Excellent location, walking distance to everything. Comfortable room with a great view! The entire place is spotless. Great shower and hot water ( bad water pressure and lukewarm water are my worst but you will not be disappointed here!). I loved the convenience of the coffee machine and little fridge in the room. Even though I didn't make use of it, they offer a selection of snacks in your room as well as offering some things downstairs. Great if you find yourself there after the shops have closed etc.

"Perfect place!"
It has been a wonderful stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The guest house is fantastically furnished in every single detail, nothing is missing here. Communication has been very easy since the booking, and they were always very kind, ready to help with everything during our stay. We truly felt at home far away from home and would definitely recommend La Fontaine for a stay in beautiful Hermanus!

We had a lovely stay at La Fontaine. The property was beautiful and well maintained, breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope to return.

"Beautiful views in a lovely guest house"
Beautiful guest house with amazing views of the ocean and the cliffs. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. It’s very quiet and peaceful - but a 10 minute walk into the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly!

"A Room with a View, a whale and a dolphin or two"
Our host, Natasha surprised us with a serious room upgrade with space and views for days! The breakfast and service was exceptional. I wish we could have stayed longer, it was really hard to leave!
