The location was fantastic. Staff welcoming and helpful. The bed, crisp white linen, and comfortable pillows were a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was very good, especially the bacon, although would have preferred plunger coffee. Disliked · The smell. Like it had just been cleaned with Jik. Whilst I appreciate the fact that it was clean, the smell lingered. They need to look at infusing a welcoming scent. Their amenities also smelt clinical, not a pleasant smell of body wash or body cream.

"Ideale und zentrale Unterkunft in Hermanus mit tollem Meerblick"
Sehr schöne Unterkunft in Hermanus. Mein Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon und wunderschönen Meerblick und jeden erdenklichen Komfort. Die Lage ist ideal um in wenigen Minuten wunderschön am Meer entlang ins absolute Zentrum von Hermanus zu laufen. Ein Auto ist hier absolut nicht notwendig. Das Frühstück wird mit herrlichem Meerblick auf der Veranda serviert und ist sehr gut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder.

"I could stay here forever"
Everything was amazing from check-in until check-out. Greeted by Orline who gave me a complete tour of the guesthouse. She even made the extra effort to bring me takeaway restaurant menus. The manager, Natasha is such a lovely person. I was travelling alone but never once felt alone with her around. The breakfast staff are also very pleasant. The location was perfect. I drove around and don't think there's any place better than this. I saw whales from my balcony every day. Even on days when boat trips were cancelled due to windy conditions. Good breakfast selection. Mini bar has everything you could want. Complimentary port is a nice touch. Bed was too comfy that I almost wanted to stay in most of the time. Looking forward to coming back with my husband.

"Enjoyed Hermanus!"
We had a wonderful stay in Hermanus. Our room was spacious, and the views were amazing! Our host was excellent and we highly recommend the La Fontaine Guest House when you are visiting Hermanus. The service, the breakfast, and everything was spot on!

"Super séjour malgré quelques déconvenues à l’hôte"
L’établissement est très bien situé , propre et agréable malheureusement nous n’avions pas été prévenu qu’il y avait des travaux juste sous notre fenêtre. Et cela était rédhibitoire pour nous car le calme était une de nos priorités ! Ensuite la chambre était glaciale ! Aucun moyen de la réchauffer (aucun équipement prévu à cet effet ) La location et Natasha restent des points forts du guest house . Les travaux bruyants sous notre fenêtre et la fraîcheur de la chambr

"Beautiful guest house in Hermanus"
We had the most amazing stay! Natasha was lovely and so helpful! The room was beautiful and the guest house was gorgeous. Natasha was a great host and was really helpful with planning whale watching trip for us and advice about the garden Route. Would recommend staying at here!
